Why this tool stays in the browser

This JSON formatter runs entirely in your browser. Paste a payload, validate it, beautify or minify it, and copy the result — the string never leaves the device. That is the point of this sandbox: inspect production-shaped JSON without handing a vendor your tokens, PII, or customer records. Pair it with JSON diff when two documents disagree, or convert to YAML when a config file is the next step.

FAQ

Does this JSON formatter upload my data?
No. Parsing, validation, and minify/beautify all run in the tab. There is no server round-trip for the payload.
Can I format JSON with comments or trailing commas?
Use it for standard JSON first. If a document is invalid, the validator reports the parse error in-page so you can fix it locally.
When should I use JSON Diff instead?
When two payloads should match and do not. Format each side here, then compare in JSON Diff without uploading either file.
